Just remember that I said "To a certain extent"

I truly like a woman to be a woman, dress as a woman, talk like a woman and act like a woman - because that's what she is.
I am a man, I buy my women flowers, I help them take off their coat, I open the door for them and I of course give them the mighty O.

In 2017 some women see that as an insult, as if men see them as being incapable of opening a door themselves.

So yeah, I see a woman very much as a woman. I am very well aware that a women also have less woman-ish days.

Whenever I see a woman dragging herself down the street, dressed in a grey camping attire, I want to scream.

Oh yeah, when I was married i never cooked a single meal, I never changed a diaper and I never had to deal with writing shopping lists.
And that's how I like things to be.

There's really nothing wrong with traditionalism as it is wholly mutual. However, when one starts imposing certain behaviors and expectations onto women simply because they are women, as if they are unable to participate in the activities they would otherwise like to, or as if you yourself are somehow above common house chores, that is where sexism suffers -- some presupposed, projected norms which are to be believed.

And it is from that mindset that women have spent many hundreds of years being told and convinced they are somehow men's lessers in a multitude of tasks, reflected in societal laws, and always with this subliminal perceived disadvantage which has yet to fully go away. It is that mindset that has so damaged womens' societal standing.

Your comments are seriously worrying: "Act like a woman, dress like a woman, speak like a woman because that's what she is." It's as if you're describing a pet -- as if women must act and dress and be a certain way to please you.

I've never actually seen a woman become upset at a man for something as simple as holding open a door. That's ridiculous and it simply doesn't happen, or if it does, that mindset is extremely rare and not commonly held at all. These types of arguments love to be brought up as if this behavior is somehow a societal propagation when it really isn't. Inb4 internet explanation of straw man. Inb4 another argument someone claims straw man.

As an aside, multiple studies have shown couples are happier when tasks are shared equally. There's nothing like treating your partner like a partner, like a complex human being with similar aspiration and drive, with emotions as you have emotions -- you know, equally. :flowers:

I have no doubt I will not sway your opinion in any way, or that you will not spring on me as a wild beast. I only wish to be a voice of reason amongst all this threatened insecurity.

Sadly, Gendarme is an actual person who believes these things. He also thinks Jews are controlling the banks to push a certain world order, or something.

He also codes a lot, which, as you have it, is desperately needed to run a fully volunteer-operated website which continually pushes out new content and features.

Maybe you should request a refund of the money spent on your college tutoring...

I completely fail to see how me liking a woman to act like a woman can be worrying to you, or anybody else for that matter.
It's not like I expect her to dress as a barbie doll or something of similar ridiculousness. I simply like a woman to be feminine and acknowledge that she is a woman - as simple as that.

I don't give a flying fuck, what studies show. If "modern" women prefer to run around pretending they are Bob the builder, fine by me as long as I can choose not to date them.

I actually went to college free for most of it! I could keep going to college for free if I wanted to. Unless you don't like your buildings to not fall over when you go in them and kill you I will be keeping my education to provide invaluable peace of mind to the peoples at large in their every day lives :)

And once again you expose yourself as a misogynistic troll. What exactly does it mean for a woman to "act like a woman"? We live in a day and age where physical strength is irrelevant in most professions, so there really as no such thing as "acting like a woman", unless of course you derive your morals and traditions from an antiquated time when physical strength was relevant for most professions and it actually made sense for the man to work and the woman to stay home. Although if thats the case you clearly lack the critical thinking skills to realize that that's not the case anymore and that your "wife" ( who i doubt even exists) is capable of making just as much as you are and that nothing about you having a Y chromosome instead of a 2nd X makes you better than her at anything that doesn't involve physical strength. However since you're probably a neckbeard troll living in your parents basement getting your news from infowars and 4chan I don't really expect you to even be able to reason through that yourself.
Have a nice day :flowers:

@deleted_user4 "Imposing behaviors" and "unable to parcitipate" require some clarification. One could say that having wholly mutual agreements imposes behaviors and makes people unable to do certain things. As long as there is no violence (including law enforcement) or threats thereof, any imposition is nothing but an agreement (e.g. "I will be your girlfriend only if you stop smoking."). There are of course many cases where violence is involved, sometimes equally against men and women and sometimes inequally, sometimes justified and sometimes not. While this is an interesting topic of discussion, we aren't discussing situations where violence is involved (at least I don't think so), so I'll leave it at that.

Now on to address what you are actually saying. For some reason you are assuming (or intentionally deceptively portraying) that most expectations and requirements of women are negative. Being different does not imply one being worse than the other, and having requirements does not imply a self-perception of being superior. "Act like a man, dress like a man, speak like a man" can be—and is—said just as easily, and neither of these two phrases imply contempt or anything of the sort. Your assumption that it carries such an implication is simply wrong.

Women generally don't get upset when you hold open the door for them. However, see it as an analogy that demonstrates the absurdities of the things that you are criticizing, for holding up the door for your woman is not really different to letting your woman stay with the kids while you work.

Thread is open for trailer park rednecks...!

You have clearly never dated a woman (for obvious reasons) Listen kiddo, there is a difference between a woman and the girls from the skateboard park.
To ME a woman is a feminine individual... Makes sense? I am stating my PERSONAL liking for women.

A woman stay home? Where the hell did I mention that?
