VOD software for review of my own game play

Post by PaniktimE »

I apologise in advance if there is a thread on the above subject already.

Could anyone recommend any decent free VOD software?

You mean like recording your own screen? I think OBS is pretty effective. Fraps used to be the thing but idk how good it is right now. I read something about camstudio somewhere which might be decent.

Even VLC can record your screen. Here is the link which shows how to do it :

I have not tested this , but vlc (no additional software required, coz everyone has it :P) does it, if u really need advanced settings then obs or camtasia as jerom suggested. :)

Thanks for the speedy responses.

I want to review my response times across the map and other areas of improvement like APM.

I will have a look into all of your recommendations ^_^

Fraps is still fun too, I think people went off it as it maxes out at 720p.

I don't recall it doing that at all.

phpBB [video]

That's recorded with fraps at max quality (my personal channel).

Edit: not that this matters because obs is obviously better (unless OP has a really old computer or something).

Snagit can be used for Screenshot, Video Capture, Editing. It's very easy to use too.
