I'm opening this thread to discuss all the aspects of 2v2v2. I want to quickly recap some of the things to keep in mind when hosting a 2v2v2, as of the release of EP 3.1. Most importantly, I'm going to list the maps where using this new game mode is viable.
- It seems that some maps support 2v2v2, some maps (UI ones) do not.
- I don't believe that there are observer maps for 2v2v2.
- On maps that spawn 2v2v2, it seems that one team does get bashed up by having enemies on both sides (e.g. ESOC Florida). Some other maps are bugged in that they won't spawn team mates.
I decided to spend some time this morning to check all of the ESOC maps, as well as some of the standard RE maps. I didn't check any of the KnB maps.
A quick list of balanced maps vs imbalanced ones (in other words, one team spawns with an inherent disadvantage) vs bugged ones:
Balanced:
- ESOC Arizona,
- ESOC Cascade Range,
- ESOC Gran Chaco,
- ESOC Thar Desert,
- ESOC Tibet,
- Great Lakes,
- Painted Desert,
- Silk Road,
- Borneo,
- Deccan,
Imbalanced:
- ESOC Florida (One team spawns between other two),*
- ESOC Adirondacks (TP line is far from one team),
- ESOC Arkansas (TP line is far from one team),
- ESOC Bonnie Springs (One team spawns between other two, also opposite spawns for team mates),
- ESOC Baja California (One team spawns between other two, also opposite spawns for team mates),
- ESOC Colorado (One team spawns between other two, also opposite spawns for team mates),
- ESOC Ferticle Crescent (One team is separated, others aren't),
- ESOC High Plains (TP line is far from one team),*
- ESOC Indonesia (One team spawns between other two, also opposite spawns for team mates),
- ESOC Jebel Musa (One team spawns between other two),*
- ESOC Klondike (just look at spawns I'm not going to describe that),
- ESOC Malaysia (even weirder than Klondike),
- ESOC Manchac (One team spawns between other two, also opposite spawns for team mates),
- ESOC Manchuria (One team spawns between other two),*
- ESOC Tassili (One team spawns between other two, also opposite spawns for team mates),
Bugged:
- ESOC Bengal (no spawn for some teams),
- ESOC Herald Island (one team doesn't spawn at all),
- ESOC Hudson Bay (no spawn for some teams),
- ESOC Iowa (one team doesn't spawn at all),
- ESOC Kamchatka (no spawn for some teams),
- ESOC Pampas Sierras (no spawn for some teams),
- UI maps (afaik),
* These maps might be balanced if you're OK with being surrounded. High Plains is pretty balanced in terms of position but team 2 has the TP line on the opposite side of the map. That could or could not matter.
TL,DR: I've listed some of the maps which can be used to play 2v2v2 (didn't check 2v2v2v2) online with a semblance of balance. I've also looked at the maps which spawn correctly but with one team at a disadvantage (or in some cases, team mates being separated). I've also listed ESOC maps which did not spawn correctly.

Re: New feature - 2v2v2
Anyone got any good replays to share?
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
