I've tried with friends, if you really want him to play and learn with you, be patient. Don't overwhelm him. Little things at a time. If he never played rts..don't even mention hotkeys for like a year. Other then when he's looking thru buildings he can build, when it hobers you can point out that it says you can use a keyboard shortcut and that might intrigue him

Hahhahaha :bravo:
Teach him like prince taught me. Show him basics, then bash him 100 times in 1v1 and maybe he will learn something. In addition you get easy elo and pr.

Yeah take it slow and try not to focus on the technical stuff like hotkeyes. Idk if I would really teach him different builds at first, just making units and defeating another player, and let him choose whatever cards he wants to send so when he learns the good BO's he will understand why they are good.
last time i cryed was because i stood on Lego

Teach him a successful repeatable build with little variations needed. Like the Spain FF.

Yeah, when i started I did that, being able to beat someone online gave me the initial motivation to learn properly and more complex gameplay latter
