French nerf is totally legit. They are a bit too efficient early on and that's big deal in current meta.

I like China too, and I also think they're at least competent. I think part of the problem with China is that military either requires no thought or complex action. You either deathball a bunch of units or try to split them up carefully and flank with a 4 or 5 unit combo.

That's just anecdotally what I see. Also Summer Palace doesn't do shit unless you're ff'ing.

Summer palace is the best age 2 wonder hands down. It aligns with various timings too well. Anyways they still have one of the best age threes so youd think they would fare well in the current meta especially with their fixed crate start = early tp.

I agree, Summer Palace is still good if only for the food, and the first unit batch does nicely time, but after that it just doesn't scale. I'd maybe like to see summer palace creation rate scale with civ age. Could see some more interesting strats with the 8xbow age 2.
