Right Handed and Left Handed AoE3 Players

I recently discovered that @WickedCossack controls his mouse with his left hand when he plays AoE3, even though he's right-handed. He also switches hands for other games, so for non-RTS games he uses his right hand to control the mouse. I think that may be the strangest thing I've ever heard.

So, I'm curious now, which hand do you use to control your mouse? Most of us are probably right handed, but how many aren't?

I think I'm right-handed but to be fair it's basically 50/50. Some sports I do left-handed, while I write and use my mouse with my right hand.

I'm right handed, but have used the mouse with my left hand ever since i was first introduced to computers. When we got our first computer there was no space for the mouse on the right side of the table.

I tried learning to use hotkeys with my left hand at some point but found it to be way too difficult. There are enough hotkeys on the right side too, so it's not really a problem.

same. i write and eat left handed, but i use my right hand for many other things, including mouse control. though i use my left hand for hotkeys etc

I used to draw with my left and right hand as a kid. If I reached the halfpoint, I'd switch hands and continue with the other. It's customary to teach kids like that to take one hand and learn to write with that one, rather than still use both hands. It was hard to determine my preferred hand, so they eventually guessed I was a leftie. I learned writing with my left hand but at the end of the day I'm right handed (sports, mouse, scissors etc.) so I use the mouse with my right hand indeed. Thinks that puts me in the right - right category.

I have one friend who's left handed and has to weirdest solution to this struggle. He has the mouse on the right of the keyboard but holds it with his left hand, crossing his arms and then using the right hand on the keyboard.

Back in 2010 I used to play on laptop keyboard with right hand on the left part of the kb. Still using the thumb for shift/ctrl.
Numpad allows me to remap all keys close together. For example numbers are remapped around numlock, 7, 8, 9, /, *, +, - , .
My keyboard is compact so arrow kyes are next to numpad and I use them as alt or P and W.
I use all fingers to hit the keys. It's kinda weird ahah.
