Average rank on ESO?

I'm thinking the average ESO player is 2nd Lieutenant, i.e, knows the basics, has micro errors on occasion, can beat utter noobs like a red-headed stepchild, and is beaten by pros in return. What is the actual average? And for that matter, what's a typical conscript / private / corporal / sergeant and so on?

Agree, it is probably around Sergeant.
At my level (PR 20) it is relatively easy to find a game with similar ranked players.

Or as I prefer, play vs players 5 PR levels below me.

It's fairly easy to find captains as well. If you are in QS you either play a 2nd lt, a captain or a lieutenant colonel.

lol are u kidding the average eso player is a corp or a lance. So many regular players are below serg its stupid. I just got back on after a few years off and the carzy thing is people I knew back then as privates still are! WTFF?!?!?!? I would say that the sergeants are decent players, maybe a bit above average, MS they are breaking through to a higher realm, and then the leiutenits are an elite group. There are many but they are definitely the upper crust. Make captain and you are a boss, Anything above that and ur basically an AOE god.

OK you want to dismiss it, or make shit posts - but THIS fact is something I really like. I think there are alot of good corporals out there. And the sergents are pretty good.
Most of the OP players have got there whith one shenanigans - or 2 shenanigans. Bottom line, you streamer should be easy on the "noobs" - WE are corporals in general

There are no good Corporals, if they were good, they would not be Corporals.
Same goes for Sergeants.

What I can see is that you need to be high Captain or low Major before you are even considered to be good.
