Damage multiplier
about damage multiplier: I am a little confused bc there are 3 different types of infantry (in the line where it shows damage multiplier)
1. Infantry 2. Heavy Inv. 3 Light Infantry.
Lancers of spain have x3.0 vs Infantry (which i assume is vs all Infantry)
often units have vs Infantry and heavy Infantry like the mahout:
x2.0 vs. Infantry
x0.5 vs. Heavy Infantry
does this mean Infatry means light Infantry here?
And sometimes there are all 3 types in one. Is there actually 3 types of infantry, like musket not vs all units treated as heavy inf?
thx for your answers

Damage multiplier
x2 vs infantry and 0.5x heavy infantry. It means This things does total 1x damage to heavy infantry because heavy infantry is also a infantry. (2 * 0.5 = 1)
For this reason, sowars suck lesser than you think. (1.5*0.75=1)
People are noobs who think sowar or mahout does negative damage to heavy infantry. It isn't negative. The negative multiplier is to exlcude heavy infantry from bonus. The original damage done to heavy infantry doesn't become half. It remains same. The enhancements are to balance.
Ranged Infantry = Skirm Type units. Abus gun is also in this category.
Heavy Infantry = Musk/Pike type units which are able to kill cavalry except grenadiers
Light Infantry = Basically cav without a horse (coyote runner type) Example: Tiger Claws, disciples, coyote runners, rattan shields....

Damage multiplier
Why are eagle runners same category as coyotes when they resemble heavy cav and light cav?

Damage multiplier
Because units can have multiple tags. So eagle are light cavalry and light infantry, just as goons are cavalry and light cavalry. So both pikes and skir get a bonus vs them, but only pikes get a bonus vs heavy cav and skirs even get a malus
Damage multiplier
skirm, archer, xbow: infantry
musk, dopple, pike: infantry+heavy infantry
coyote, disciple, eagle knight: light infantry
"light infantry" = "cavalry"
musk, dopple, pike: infantry+heavy infantry
coyote, disciple, eagle knight: light infantry
"light infantry" = "cavalry"
Damage multiplier
coyote: light infantry +coyote (and disciple, rattan shield)
eagle knight: light infantry + eagle knight
tiger claw: light infantry+coyote+infantry
"light infantry"=cavalry
"coyote"="melee infantry"
"eagle knight"="ranged infantry"
so tiger claw is infantry and cavalry both.
microsoft sucks!

Mahouts do .5 vs heavy inf but x2 vs infantry generic, so they just do x1 dmg vs heavy
Damage multiplier
Yep! It''s the universal truth.umeu wrote:Mahouts do .5 vs heavy inf but x2 vs infantry generic, so they just do x1 dmg vs heavy
Even some high level people think believe everything they see in stats. Not everything in stats is true.
Can somebody tell me how much resistance does a mameluke have? It''s 40% ranged or 40% hand?

Damage multiplier
similar to what we are talking about here, how exactly is damage calculated in this game, is every exact? what i mean is if a skirmisher has 16 attack and a 2x bonus on heavy infantry, does each shot to a musket do 32 damage, or is it just a general area of what damage it will do, like sometimes 29 30 31 etc

Damage multiplier
The dmg is exact, but the dmg you see in stats is rounded up or down to the nearest whole number
Re: Damage multiplier
bumping up this thread because it just answered my question to the "multiple multipliers" on infantry units.
If you see any mistakes in my grammar/vocabulary or whatever, please correct me. I really appreciate it
