Well, if you know about the general shift function then this is basically trivial. You are literally queuing commands.

Something most people don't know is that if you have the option "easy military drag" - or something like this - you can actually select villagers+military by holding "ALT" when you make the box. Makes it a lot easier saving vills when they are clumped up with units

I think I have a fair understanding of the game' but I never bother using ctrl groups, I never used shift for moving units, I only use the most basic hotkeys because Im too lazy to learn the rest, I play DM because Im too lazy to spend 40 mins building my eco like treaty folk do.
