One of my favorite things about aoe is simply watching game play, and that experience is enhanced with commentary. We have several individuals, you know who you are, that do a fantastic job but our numbers as a whole are relatively low. I want more people to reach out and actually talk! Anyone pr 23+ is capable of producing game play that everyone can watch and I think more knowledge should be spread verbally. I love listening to the higher level players talk about their decision making, their quick diagnosis of the situation, what they plan to do next, etc. It's all great. One little tip from the pros can improve your game play overnight. So I ask for more people to not be shy and speak up. This game is built up so much in our minds that expressing it verbally can improve both the speaker and listener simultaneously.

We are already producing a lot of this commentary through ESOC. Tournament coverage, some of the h2o explains series, I am sure we have more stuff out there too. Maybe someone can link it!

Yes I am aware of the ongoing games and the big names casting, but I'm calling out people who haven't commentated yet. For example, Ramex has some commentary on veni's channel and I wanna encourage that kind of behavior for other players too

I think itd be great if a lot of the content was on one channel. Thatd be a nice way of advertising our channel.

Maybe someone could make a standard intro and outro for our videos or sth. Kinda hard to have to trust so many community members I suppose.

I've actually already spoken with H2O about doing this! I'm going to be doing some commentaries now i've got back into the swing of things! If anyone has any games they've recorded of themselves and want me to provide some insight, then let me know!

Playing team games mostly, but if there aren't any games, then i talk through recorded games that i've seen posted on here, or i'm sent!

Watch my stream. I try to commentate as I play, talk about what is happening through my eyes, why i win / lose etc... I'm relatively new at it but will get better as I go.

What's neat is that one doesn't even need to be a top tier player to make this content. All it takes is a very basic knowledge of the mechanics of the civs being played and enough enthusiasm to make it interesting for those watching.

I dislike the idea of content all being uploaded on one channel, but it would be nice if the gameplay would at least be uploaded to Youtube since it won't stay on Twitch forever. I guess I know a lot about the game, mais mon anglais est terrible.

Speaking english is horrible imo. Id do commentaries, but its already fucking awkward and when you realise you arent just talking to a screen, but that you are talking to your screen in a way that is actually fucking annoying you are just going to quit.

Not really, Im just trying to express how tough it is to do commentary as a non native speaker. I have a lot of respect for those who can overcome it and still do commentaries.

It helps to talk alot to yourself, hearing what sounds best. You can also just record and do the commentary afterwards, writing everything down you want to say. You just have to make sure you are on time with the happenings of the recording and there you go.
