Indeed, there''s definitely something in the works. It could also be the new AoM stuff teased on E3 though.garja wrote:Microsoft doesn''t need kickstarter, they have moneyz.
And anyway there is a strategy game in development by Decisive Games Studios (Microsoft first party studio), and since Halo Wars 2 belongs to another studio, chances are high that it will be a new Age of Empires of some kind.

There's also another unknown project in development by the Forgotten Empires team (besides AoE2 expansion), and apparently it's 50% complete: http://www.forgottenempires.net/.
So, we have potentially both new AoM and AoE stuff in the works, each by either of these teams. I'm keeping my hopes up..

So, AoM expansion was just announced. The developers are Forgotten Empires and SkyBox Labs.

so, is there still a chance for aoe5 or was this the thing they were developing?
I personally feel like theyve resorted to just milking the series atm. Well probably get an aoe3HD soon lol.

Theres very much still a chance. We currently have Microsoft studio Decisive Games working on a "beloved strategy series" title for a while now and we already know its neither AoM nor Halo Wars 2.jerom wrote:so, is there still a chance for aoe5 or was this the thing they were developing?eaglemut wrote:So, AoM expansion was just announced.
