Microsoft doesn''t need kickstarter, they have moneyz.
And anyway there is a strategy game in development by Decisive Games Studios (Microsoft first party studio), and since Halo Wars 2 belongs to another studio, chances are high that it will be a new Age of Empires of some kind.

Indeed, there''s definitely something in the works. It could also be the new AoM stuff teased on E3 though.

There's also another unknown project in development by the Forgotten Empires team (besides AoE2 expansion), and apparently it's 50% complete: http://www.forgottenempires.net/.

So, we have potentially both new AoM and AoE stuff in the works, each by either of these teams. I'm keeping my hopes up..

So, AoM expansion was just announced. The developers are Forgotten Empires and SkyBox Labs.

I personally feel like theyve resorted to just milking the series atm. Well probably get an aoe3HD soon lol.
