strelet. more numbers, more meat to hit, more shots to not have wasted if microed efficiently because they have a weaker attack but there will be more of them per resource unit.

cause lets say hypothetically: 5 strelet shots kill an xbow and 3 xbow kill a strelet. the 5 total shots waste in bleed over a total of 3 dmg and the xbow waste 9 dmg. (exaggerated to show my point but...) my logic is that the strelet will make more dmg count when microed where enough xbow shots to kill a strelet will have a lot of extra dmg wasted.

Strelets are just so cost effective and train in such large batches they usually win the day where in the same situation the xbow just doesn't. Pretty one sided comparison imo.

Xbows are useless past colonial, whilst strelet are good for the whole game because they are one of the most cost effective units in the game. With 2 blockhouses and standing army, one can amass like 50 strelet in under a minute. ridiculos

but this aint a useless topic. Russian players can either spam muskets or strelets. xbows counter muskets so it is totally possible to have an xbow strelet battle. I get them often if I am germany fighting russia or russia fighting germany. Has application if you want to try to keep a german from going age 3, to to help you survive till age 3.

Strelet is still better. Just be sure to not waste shots on one target.

I checked and that's true, on tad at least : xbows die to strelets for equal cost. In fact if you consider bows costing more wood than strelets, then even more bow mass die to strelets. That's the problem with tad : everyone say bs like "on nilla you kill cav with bows" when in fact nilla is more balanced. How can bows lose to strelets, when strelets are anti-heavy infantry and bows aren't ? I mean, then bows are a more polyvalent unit, since they don't have big multipliers, right ? Tho they lose to strelets, which are a more specialized unit. Just as dumb as if hussars died to lancers...

And then what ? Bows don't even really kill musks, because they are not really anti-infantry. Even if you hit and run like hell, im not sure bows can beat musks, with equal investments. Ofc, bows die to cav, too. So I wonder, what do bows kill ? Pikes and goons ? Great... I really hope bows are gonna get buffed sooner or later in this patch.

Hey when i play ports and send colonial militia with 2 tc's three if im going naked ff say goodbye to strels one shot with tc and dead, x3 thats 3 strel every like 3 seconds ))
