So i was playing with a friend the other day on ESO and he was using the Chinese civilisation, and i was using the france or brits cannot remember and i was well winning actually i thought the game had ended, all his settlers were off food cause i stopped him from gathering hunts efficiently and i see all his settlers are on coin, so he starts making like 10 iron troops and im like "lol what a fool what are these peasants doing" yes this is what i thought i was ridiculous because those 10 iron troops killed like 30 of my usk and i killed like 1 iron troop so i retreated back made 5 hussar and had some usk and im like GG cause all he had was iron troops and cav beat archers, right, or do they? NO they dont beat iron troop he had 15 by now and the carved down my hussars and he reinforced like 20 xbows and pike and i rage quite cause i was like FUCK THIS. So just then i went on scenario editor and i stumbled across these iron troops and wanted to check out how good they are, and boy the cant beat beaten by even the french cav, yes yes you need like 20 iron troops to beat like 5 french cav and they cost expensive but hey it was just fun and seeing how an archer unit can beat the arguably the strongest cav in the game was quite amusing, (not including merc) :) comment below

They are pretty good indeed.
But you need a card to train them and are otherwise only available with a card only with China. Also you can't micro them and they take 1.5 secs to fire so meh.

they do shoot slow
they shoot extremely fast, faster then yumi and lb and there arrows spread causing more area damage.

no, cause china can just pop out some cav and good bye abus, and even abus wouldnt be enough im pretty sure to stop iron troops ill go test it now

they shoot extremely fast, faster then yumi and lb and there arrows spread causing more area damage.
They shoot as fast as yumi and longbows and they dont cause area damage.

False! go on scenario editor the shoot faster if i noticed it, then the difference is there otherwise i would not have picked it up!

Note a couple of things here that have not been mentioned. The detrimental one is that Iron Troops take two population spaces, as do many ranged mercs. The beneficial ones are that they have high hitpoints (225) and very high (60%!) ranged resistance.
