A MS Moderator's ruling on the Explorer Revive Exploit

Post by Metis »

Re: Explorer Glitch

WlliamWallace: Metis, noone really cares about rules like that, just saying, its a glitch, everyone knows about it, and everyone uses it so your not gonna get pested or anything for using it. especially not banned

Jerom: If you get banned you just say "O I thought this was just a function of the game, I thought it was supposed to be like this" and problem solved. You canned get banned for it for that exact reason anyways :D

Ryz0n: Until the person who does the banning reads this thread and says um...no.

Don't glitch.

I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

I still don't see a ruling...... There are plenty of things a mod would say not to do..... Don't be a dick, don't have bad sportsmanship etc but he doesn't say anything about it being a banable offense....

If you read the entire thread you will see that it's a definitive ruling against the explorer revival glitch.

Wait so one would have to search up some random forum to finds out this was against the rules? Doesn't sound like a definitive ruling to me. Someone could just smack the keys and find out their explorer does this and think that it's part of the game.

A moderator doesn't have to post a specific notice about each and every exploit and rule individually on it. If you look at the posted rulings on glitch exploit after glitch exploit, it should be crystal clear that any other glitch exploit also is a cheat.

Stab someone and you won't get off just because the local sheriff didn't post a notice on your front door listing all the things that can possibly be used for stabbing with a notation that it is unlawful to stab with these items.

Like Ryz0n said, "Don't glitch."

Some of you are so obstinate as to make it obvious to me that that you are now just trolling.

The explorer is a unique unit however, and it can be fairly game changing if he is lost. An official notice absolutely should be posted for in case someone finds this out on their own and uses it as a perceived game feature.

Just because I''m not going balls to the wall against alt d doesn''t mean I think it''s awesome or that it should be used btw.

Unless, of course, the musketeer looked like this:

even if a female was in the army back when musketeers actually existed, her clothing is far to modern for her time period.

You guys were talking about gay video game explorers that can be revived from the dead and you have a problem with an anachronistic representation of a tavern wench? OK, how 'bout this one?

microsoft doesnt do anything for the community right now. Plus they are coming at it from a technically can we ban you for it angle.

The right answer to hacking up your explorer is that it is cheating. Doesn't matter what anyone says.
