old patches

I found a website where are a lot old patches from 2006to 2010. Do we need to download them all? Habe other player downloaded them all? If you dont have all patches but ur enemy has them. Do it give him better chances to win game? Do they give better things u can do in game?

You can't play online unless the game is patched. If you have the Steam or other recent version of the game it's already been patched.

Downloading older patch versions won't help you or your opponent at all. In fact, it will make you unable to play with each other to begin with So don't worry about it.

I was talking about the official patches. If you install a fanpatch then you will only be able to play with people also on that fanpatch (all others will get a CRC Mismatch). The only reason to install an older fanpatch is if you want to watch a game recorded on that fanpatch because otherwise the recording will usually go out of sync. However, there are so many videos of good games nowadays that this is not really necessary.
