Does anyone know of any charts that compare the different units of a given type, for example curosiers vsd mamalukes, vs elmeti vs stradiot, or reg musk vs. russ musk vs ashi vs sepoy, etc...
The chart would have all (or at least most) stats: hitpoints, speed, damage per second, modifiers (for and against), training speed and cost, possibly upgrade-ability.
Better players probably have internalized this stuff, but I would find it useful (and damn good bathroom reading material) to have a chart for the next time i can't decide whether to make elmeti or mamalukes, or whether Cassies are gonna beat my upgraded Dutch Skirms (or my card-upgraded, fully armoried Strels...)?
Thanks,

Here are all the geek data about units.
From there, someone should be able to create a comparison charts for any unit.
Edit : This file was created in 2008. Not sure if there was a patch in between now and there.

Are There Unit Comparison Charts?
I will work on this on Saturday (10/24). It would be extremely helpful if people would like to help me get screenshots of the units as it is a lot of manual work that isn't incredibly hard. IE pick a civ and then screenshot all of their units and send a link to me over some image hosting site, like imgur for example. Comparisons without cards would be a good start, and they could be added later with cards. I will leave a list and if anyone would like to screenshot the units for me and PM them to me that would be fantastic. I will do it anyways if nobody helps, but it would surely be helpful . I will cross off the list as people commit to one if they do.
If we want to go the route of an XL spreadsheet that could work too. It would be simpler without screenshots but it wouldn't have the benefit of having images.

That'd be a good start but we also need to consider cards etc.
A russian player will send boyards, an azzy will have the coyottes card and the war dance etc.

True the cards: could be added as parenthetical additions {i.e. hp 100 (15) (15)} where the parenthetical #s are based on uniquely available upgrades. Lots of work.
Probably best to put out a BASIC CHART, even if incomplete (and caveat emptor) then build on the base. I think once SOMETHING is out there. ppl will be more willing to add on to it. It's a daunting task to start.
