From what I've heard one player has one herdable hunt while the other player has three. I haven't played the map yet but issues like these will need to be fixed before the map can be added to the map pool.

Riki and I played some games yesterday on that map. We both had 2 heradable hunts all time. He fixed some other issues too yesterday.

Thanks a lot for this poll, i would be very happy if mendocino is accepted in the FP.

I have released a second version of the map where ressources, designed, and other stuffs are fixed. You can find it in the thread in AOE3 user created content.
By the way, i encourage everyone to play the map and to give me their feedbacks if they see anything wrong

I''m actually working on the third version of the map (which is going to be the last) where i have added the UI 1.7, and fixing the trigger which upgrade roads.

That would be nice to see something new. For example a map with base somehow naturally protected with resources to favor age4 play, for a change.
Maybe a map made only of small islands, etc.
I'm sure most of you guys will be creative.

Well, the current maps are good but imo we should stay critical: Many have major flaws, and while being better than the RE maps, are far from perfect. I think we shouldn't just settle on the current mappool, but rather try to cycle through maps and find out which are the best/most enjoyable maps that way. So if Mendocino is good, and balanced (I havent played on it yet), then by all means add it.

moving forward it might be interesting to dedicate a panel to maps entirely. It depends on new maps being developed, and I don't know how much effort that is, but it would be very cool to try to improve even further on the maps.

Bengal, cascade and Tibet are terrible. It is meant to be fair but it is not, you can not beat china on tibet, tad civs on cascade and tp civs suck on bengal.

Both are fine really. But it is indeed a lot more interesting to fix the old maps. I want a balanced rockies for example.
