Is it possible to transfer AoE3 to a laptop without a disc?
My pc is a piece so I was wondering if anyone could help me to transfer my AoE 3 game files onto my laptop. Is this even possible, my laptop does not have a disc drive?

Yes you can. If you transfer the whole game then it won't be a clean installation if you know what I mean. There might be conflicts with Windows registry from my experience.

So it is possible? I am not computer savvy at all. How would I transfer the file just copy it to a USB and hope for the best?

If you used steam to DL the game you can just do that again.

I would suggest trying to copy them using usb. If it doesn't work you should not loose anything. . .

Unfortunately it is not possible, I'm almost certain that copying the game files WILL NOT work properly. My honest recommendation which hopefully won't get me banned from here is just to download the game illegally on your laptop and just install it that way as it's the only way to do it without having to pay for the game again. You will be able to play on ESO just fine with the account you already have.

bruh how does your notebook not have a USB port?
this is a usb port by the way, if you're not aware of the looks of it:

The DVD game's copy protection is such that it prevents you just copying the files to a thumb drive and installing from there. Also, since Windows 7, an install on one system can't be easily ported to another because of the complexity of the registrations. Your choices are either to obtain an external USB DVD drive or to map a DVD drive on another computer as a network drive and install from it. The easiest option would be to purchase a Steam download.

If your "laptop" doesn't have a USB port it's probably a netbook and won't run the game anyway.

You'd be surprised how many integrated graphics processors will run this crazy old game.

Creating an ISO of your CDs on another PC and transferring these, loading them with WinCDEmu and installing from that is the right answer.

The AOE III DVD set has SmartE copy protection. I suppose that you can copy it though if you have the right software. Whether you feel this is illegal to do so is up to you. Microsoft allows you to make a backup copy of the disk for installation purposes and doesn't specifically limit you in methods used.

LOLZ Nah I just need to buy a USB cord. I don't think that will work though.. my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port... and I read I could sync my computer and laptop on my network and that might have worked.. sorry I was busy yesterday so I didn't have time to answer back. Don't make fun of me!!

For anybody looking for an answer:
- Copy the game content (ProgramFiles/Microsoft Games/Aoe3) --> and paste it on the other pc to the same path.
- Export the registry files ([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires 3 Expansion Pack 2\1.0]) Or SOFTWARE/WoW64Node/...
- In the other pc import the registry settings.
