"The requested IP address is invalid" Need Help Please

Hey i played AOE3 now for 3 days and today i got this"The requested IP address is invalid". i cant join into any lobbies and i cant host any lobbies. i already restarted the game several times and the Internet too.Can some one Please Help me?

Yeah I've had this issue a couple of times before, it seems impossible to fix but then magically disappears a few hours later or the next day. For me the error message is "The IP address the game is trying to use is invalid"

Have you tried rebooting your PC as well as resetting the internet gateway (router)?

You could try setting your comp to use a static IP address different from the one you're currently using.

I just restarted everything what was usign internet and now it works ^^

I got this problem too. "The IP address the game is trying to use invalid." Simply moving my laptop to a different part in my house helped, strangely enough. Changing my IP from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.2 helped too.

I set my computer to use a static ip and have rebooted several times but the problem hasn't been solved yet. What should I do? Can anyone help me?

It's such a weird error, got it once a few days ago, just had to relog and restart some things and it went away. I'd never heard of it before then so not sure what advice to give.

I never understood if it's a bug or something. When eso gives me this message, i just switch off my router and restart it. It works again then

PEOPLE can anyone help me PLEASE??? I just finished my exams and I desperately want to play online but I can't because of the "invalid ip" issue... It has been going on forever. I set my pc to use a static ip AND have forwarded the needed ports on my router AND turned off my firewall and antivirus AND have restarted all my devices that use the internet but I am still unable to join/host/QS any games. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Q. I am encountering general connectivity issues' such as the error messages "Invalid IP Address", "Host Canceled/rejected" or "failed to join game"' what can I do?
If you encounter any of the above error messages then most likely there is a conflict with age3 and a router setting.

Power Cycle your network hardware: Turn off your modem, router, and computer.
Wait a few minutes then turn them back on one at a time in the listed order.
Some routers need to be power cycled to except new versions of software such as Age of Empires 3
If you connect wirelessly, connect with a wired connection.
Verify your Firewall or internet security software is allowing Age3 (age3.exe) and TWC (age3x.exe) to pass through
Disable your Firewall or internet security software temporarily while you test connecting to the game.
Upgrade your firmware on your router and your network card
Toggle UPnP (If you have UPnP on, try turning it off and if you have UPnP off, try turning it on.
Test with the DMZ setting both on and off
Port forward UDP and TCP/IP ports 2300-2310 to your machine. If that range does not work try expanding it to cover ports 2300-2340, or try using the OverridePort command listed below.
Some routers have a Gaming Mode. Be sure to enable that option if your router supports this feature.
If your router has logging turned on make sure to clean off your logs or restart logging before playing Age of Empires 3
Change your computers IP on your router. Example: if your computer sits at 192.168.0.100 change it to 192.168.0.200
Note, if you need assistance configuring your router please refer to your router manufacture.

Just tried with UAC disabled but it didn't work unfortunately...

Hi first post

. On friday I fixed the failing to join games issue by doing the Utorrent trick to open the 2300 port which fixed that. Then on saturday I got this IP problem as well past two days... feel like I tried everything. But today I restarted the router from the settings page and not just turning it off and on as suggested. It gave me a new external IP. Put that in the override command in user.cfg and now its working.
