well people use the word wrong then. for example, i know i should use my vils to punch when defending, and i often do, but i simply cannot do it as well as h2o does, he is way more skilled at it than i am, even though we both know what to do, and basically i know how to do it as well, i just cant do it. aka knowledge isnt the same as skill.
and yukon isnt a bad example, because i used it to show that indeed, on some maps, age1 is just largely luck. which you agreed to.

The treasure I hate to deal with the most is the 3 wolf treasure because I usually it is worth it to take, but for some reason I lose half HP...I'm really bad at kiting wolves, but I deal with coyotes and black bears fine. very nub. Should the sequence be like
1. Kill first wolf before it turns around,
2. Let the other two turn, shoot one in the back and kill it
3. Kite the last one back to the treasure itself
Is that it? should I do it safer or in a way more conservative of HP? Or is that situational?

Theres skill and luck involved. I once got like 16 of the 18 yaks against lordraphael on mongolia lol, pure luck and a tiny bit of skill in having an efficient scouting pattern. But thats such a big deal really and its almost 100% luck. Same with treasures tbh, some are so huge that getting or not getting one can be a big deal.
Game would be more balanced with more average treasures, like the 2/3 wolf/coyote/black bear treasures. Natives can situationally win games single handedly and so can vill treasures.

I'm not a big fan of taunt 48. Obviously it's not fun to have your frustration captured in a taunt. At the same time, everyone seems to enjoy it so I don't really think about it much. I pretty sure at some level everyone can relate to that having played age of empires 3 haha.
Re: Tip of the day -- Improve ur treasures hunting skills
The taunt would actually be more entertaining if you used it yourself rather than others. AoE3 is mostly for shits and giggles nowadays anyway. Let the frustration go; it is time for fun.
Pay more attention to detail.
Re: Tip of the day -- Improve ur treasures hunting skills
I actually have had taunts turned off for the entire time I have played this game. I liked the age of empires two taunts much more and so I have had taunt audio off. I actually don't know what anything but 1 and 2 are
Re: Tip of the day -- Improve ur treasures hunting skills
I like the voice of Washington, AoE3 taunts I find so much superior to AoE2 ones
