Actually, assuming that the current influx becomes the new standard, you could argue that THIS is the golden age. We have had more online now than for awhile.

thats not true. I think peak was never higher than 7 k. Biggest ive seen was 5.5 k

When have you seen that? According to the pop count history on agecomm, highest ESO peak ever was 4856 across all game versions on 2008-02-17.

It got to 2826 yesterday, which was probably the highest we're gonna get this year (numbers seem to always peak around new year).

I wish I had started to play AoE III when it got released. There is nothing better than trying to invent the best build order. You still can, but to a much lesser extent.

You can still invent good build orders or just try to make them work, like Aizamk.

Been seeing the effects of the steam sale even on Vanilla. This game won't go anywhere anytime soon!

Jan 2006 is when I got on ESO. Some great memories from back then (I was, and still am, a noob). One of the funniest has to be when 15 year old me joined iamgrunt's lobby by accident. I was so enamored, I took a screenshot and showed all of my friends.

They do in the Eso logs. I think the max I've seen was 5k-6k. maybe 7k but you can check Eso logs to see for yourself it just takes an hour to load.
