DotW: If you could change one thing
Re: DotW: If you could change one thing
By continents, you mean?
Re: DotW: If you could change one thing
Even if you have only 1 server it would still be better then say 3v3 with all players directly connected.
Site: Be there or be square

Re: DotW: If you could change one thing
My thoughts are very shtupid shetting aligned.
What about the ability to merge two civs (opponent does the same.
So you could get the special abilities of say Germany and the special abilities of say Britain. Now you've got a civ with free uhlans with shipments, manor houses, musketeers, dopples, settler wagons, etc.
Extremely OP, but your opponent could be doing an even more powerful merge too. Is this even a feasibile thing?

Do you know how do it? Our mods expert thought it was not possible.
Send a PM to me or Riki, then we can implement it.
I don't know how to make it. I am commenting based on another thread where apparently icourt knew how to do it.
He said (ep internal forum) that he thinks this is possible because AOM have random civ selection but he have no idea how to implement that.
We lose contact with him, rip random civ.

gerdarme nerf. fractional multiplier vs HI
Re: DotW: If you could change one thing
Out of all of all things you could possibly do, you choose a small stat change...

Mitoe wrote:If I could change anything about the game I would try to make these decisions less obvious by buffing/nerfing the stronger and weaker options, and I would also try to include more of this sort of thing into the game. For example, I think things like European politicians are quite bland compared to TWC/TAD options, and things like the church and livestock have a lot of potential that wasn't really put to good use.
Agreed. When TAD was released they should have diversified the euro / Twc age up options and added export as a resource for those civs as well.
mad cuz bad

Unfortunately, that would really limit what you could do with recs. The answer would be a recorded game viewing tool that's basically Aoe-lite, perhaps mobile compatible.

I'd love that so damn much. I'm fairly sure the rec files are really small so you could download a bunch and watch offline on your phone np! Hrnghh

Imagine you getting cozy in your seat and watching aizamks all the way to work and back every day.
And you could grab and edit recs straight off of files without having to scrn rec!
Also you would have rewind...

Yasss
Someone here must know how to make this happen.

Re: DotW: If you could change one thing
For purely thematic purposes, opponents should be able to kill hunts at Japanese shrines. It makes no sense that your villagers should happen upon deer at a shrine that they want to kill, and then choose not to kill it because they somehow respect the religion of the people that they're slaughtering on the other side of the map lol.
Re: DotW: If you could change one thing
Change that "I just found livestock on the map" sound. It is so horrible to listen to and that's also why Mongolia is really the worst AoE3 has ever seen.

Then we'd have an UP Japan with CDBs with blunderbuss walking around oneshotting hunts

Well, what if there was some idea of a shrine coming with built-in monks who protect it against non-army people but are too scared to fight against soldiers? It's a totally plausible explanation ;D

If anything, soldiers should be able to kill animals too.

There are already those expansions. Check out Wars of Liberty.
