Why do I get no experience points?
I have just played a game in of hard-slow on the asian dynasties, won the game and got no experience points. is it because I saved it (to try some things) and during the save I retired, meaning lost the game? Also, I started at a level 10 hometown (140,000 xp points) and got no advanced beyond).

You need at least one human player (can be vs ai!) in the game in order to get XP.

is this means I need to play online in multiplayer against a human or with a human against a computer?

Re: Why do I get no experience points?
But there's no way I can play in solo against a computer off-line...?
Re: Why do I get no experience points?
You should get xp in single player skirmisher mode to beat an ai. If you lose you get xp too, but lesser. You can check the amount of xp until the game in the menu-statistics.

On ESO (Multiplayer), you need at least one human player in the game to get XP.
In single skirmisher mode (offline), you do not need any humans to get XP.
Offline homecities and ESO (Multiplayer) homecities are not the same.

Is ESO the patch? what exactly is the meaning of those letters?

- I played offline a skirmish one-on-one and got no experience points. Why? Is that possible?
Re: Why do I get no experience points?
Unfortunately it is because you saved it, this is a known bug with singleplayer.
