Buildings placement Rotation ESOC?

I think ESOC patch should contain this feature: http://aoe3.heavengames.com/downloads/s ... ileid=1932
A simple file enabling in game buildings placement rotation using middle mouse scroll.

It does. Enable it in the launcher.

I'd like to see the mod allowed in tournaments. Seems to add to game play and how to build a proper base. Also seems rather harsh to lose a match by accidentally using it.

I'm sorry to ask if it already contains the file. I have not tried the patch yet. I have Steam version.

yeah I win 100% of time because I use build rotator.... sarcasm..... rotator is great and a much needed feature of the game. Its a shame not all have it. so including in patch is natural.

Yeah my point more is that it should be allowed in ESOC tournaments. It's isn't like some people aren't capable of using it. It adds an extra layer to gameplay. I don't see how it provides an unfair advantage when playing any games on EP.

Ye I think that anything that needs to be downloaded is a cheat unless both people have it.

It's pretty much a cheat, I think it's a bad habit to use it even in the tourneys where it's perfectly ok because you may be tempted to use it later outside tourneys on eso (cheat).

You can disable it before to launch the patch. So you won't be able to accidentally use it.

From what I've read here. It seems that some defensive civ get more benefit as compared to other civs when building rotation is activated. That might be the reason for it being banned in some specific tournies. But only the hosts know the real reason. There are lot of topics on this, if you search the forum.

I feel it is similar to the wall pillar delete thing.(not talking about the macro shortcut). With a little effort put in it gives cheaper defense. Same with building rotator. But one is allowed because it only requires skill. But the other needs a patch, so is banned. If only it was included in any official patch, there wouldn't be anyone complaining about it. Ep could try to include it as a permanent game feature instead of optional..

Building Rotator lowers the skill cap of players and changes the civilization strength considerably (at the highest level, at least), which is why it's banned. It won't be unbanned in the foreseeable future.

It gets used against me in treaty games a lot and it makes a huge difference there which is super annoying.

Because buildings aren't oriented the same? Nah... you can build walls for 5w a piece and the only advantage you could get from building rotation is a better sim-city. I don't see it that breaking balance, the better player wins the game regardless of how well your base is made.
