Most Preferred Supremacy Game Time/Style
Most Preferred Supremacy Game Time/Style
I have seen a lot of discussion on twitch live streams about long games vs short ones, but i would like to hear the opinions of the whole community. Due to this, i will divide the typical games into subjective categories. The whole purpose of this thread is to figure out what type of games people like to watch and/or cast.
Case 1:
Well executed timing attack that decimates the enemy. Think "standard" game where one player was outplayed.
Case 2:
Very evenly matched game, where players keep map control for the most of the time, leading to a symmetric tug of war. In these games, one small mistake leads to a loss.
Case 3:
Clear skill gap, where player gets demolished due to poor map knowledge/scouting.
Case 4:
Player loses their base, but pulls off an underdog win in the end, particularly in an unfavorable match-up (long game).
Case 5:
Players duke it out with interesting and generally underused/unorthodox builds (Ex: Aizamk's VC, Kynesie-style gameplay, etc).

I voted for case 2. H20 vs BSOP in the Spring Championship Finals is still one of the greatest competitive series I've ever watched across all sports.

I prefer unusual game styles like kynesie because it generally throws players who are too complacent off balance.

Nice poll order lmao: 1, 2, 2, 4, 3, 4, 5
Ask breeze how to make proper polls for next time!
Anyway, I'm a bit torn between 4 and 5, but chose 5 in the end. I guess the thing is though, variety is good. I believe if any of those options make up the majority of content, people will ask for a change and want to see something else once in a while.

I voted for back and forth game would be nice to watch the battle and would be interesting would be like a war!
I even like unorthodox gameplay and even the 4th option ,hope there were 3 votes.
The main reason I like back and forth war coz the player who is more skilled will win the game eventually .

Allowing more than one option would be useful, though

I usually like games that are very even throughout and that go very late (the later, the better). Its nice to see how the playstyle changes so much as the timer increases, and its also nice to see civs bringing out their real specialties in the lategame (eg france with cuirs, russia with musk and opri spam, dutch with uber population, spain with unction, etc)

Yeah its hilarious to watch xD.
Seriously, its nice to see the ways good players try to come up with to counter them. Its not fun seeing a noob getting cuirs into his base all the time, but its fun watching aiz for example microing 3 groups of goons vs them, building walls, etc
