This is a game to show the 15 musk semi ff vs japs. Both of us messed up a little bit with armies, and he didn't build the optimal units, but the rec is for showing the build order mainly. I struggled for a long time vs japs and this strat worked best by far for me.

imo a 10 pike semi works better because of the higher speed and siege. It also takes less time which allows you to age faster

but musks are key to the falc spam. pikes are much worse for that. Also pikes wouldnt even be a problem since he can just send ANYTHING to kill them or chase them off during age 2.

Also you wouldn't age faster, since you age right when the 700 gold comes anyway?

Pikes are shit for this purpose as the Jap's first infantry batch completely nullifies them, not to mention allows the Japanese to start raiding you, lol...

pikes are faster than musks and do more siege per cost

musks aren't going to do better versus yumi than pikes are

the idea is to start pressuring japanese shrines immediately with quick, cheap siege damage. japan has a slow start and pikes exploit that
