^How can you type that and question why people in this thread call you arrogant?
I mean, far be it from me to say that I know better what went on in your games, but it is a little difficult to just take your word on these things. If soldier corroborated your claim that you "would have won for sure" then it would become a much more reasonable statement.
Like, obviously you're an excellent player. But in my time lurking (and only recently posting) I see you make a lot of excuses for your losses. Bad computer, other person lagging (while admitting that you lose connection--nobody's internet is perfect unless they have google fiber pretty much, and it's a reality of this game that everyone has to deal with), getting "lucky", etc. It seems to me like you don't know how to own your losses and accept that they don't make you necessarily a worse player, but you seize on every win without considering that the other person might have been screwed by something equally annoying.
In most competitive gaming communities, especially the FGC, it's part of the culture to be gracious in both victory and defeat. Sadly, I don't think that AoE3 has any such decorum in its competitive community.

I said I would have won for sure since I had like 200 more points, more eco and my army was in his town. Doesn''t it seem reasonable?lesllamas wrote:^How can you type that and question why people in this thread call you arrogant?

Were these games broadcast or shown to anybody else? Or do you just expect people to take your word for it without giving an explanation like the one you just gave me when you say "I would have won for sure"? Its still one of those cases where Soldiers account of those games would be good to have. If things were truly as one sided and hopeless as you say, he would surely admit it, right?diarouga wrote:I said I would have won for sure since I had like 200 more points, more eco and my army was in his town. I doubt he cares about ego flames but if you ask him he'd say that the jap vs india game on borneo was 100% mine.
He'd maybe say that the game on mongolia wasn't finished yet even though I was in a very good position but let's not count that one then, that's 3-3

If I''m not mistaken, 2-2. Aging with karni is absolutely terrible. A simple 5/5 punishes it. Agra on the other hand..marco1698 wrote:What''s the score with LordRaphael? 4-0 to him?
