Filippos(Russia)_vs_aril(Japan) SIberia
I lost as Sioux vs his Japan, then took Russia only to fall on Siberia+Japan nightmare. What i tried to do in col was to maintain vil production and research eco ups first, then military production (boomy-like style). I got a nice 13 strelet arrival timing which countered his attack and i got the advantage. Tell me if this is the correct approach for Russia in this match up.

your first mistake and one that never should have happened was willingly playing vs japs on Siberia.

Imo russia is a quite good counter of japan.
Rush him hard, you can delay your vills batches to make strels. Your goal is to force him to send CM, then kill shrines and start your boom.

Ya i definitely agree with you there diarouga. But it doesnt work on siberia like it does on normal maps.

A tower doesn't change much... Once I tried to ff with cm and I got rapped by a strel rush. The jap has to be carefull.

So what you say is that an "all in" attack is the best choice.

Exactly. 5/4coss and make strels.
Do not stop your vill prod too much ( not more than 15-20sec).

in my experience, rushing with 13strelets works and then aging up a couple of shipments later works well because of oprichniks and cannons.vet strelets are so cost effective

I think Japan on Siberia is slightly overrated.
