Haha yeah I think it was at least even if not even favorable for me until i just walked my siege elephants into his army and lost them for free.

Thanks for posting!

I'm very surprised you lost the match though, you were in commanding position basically all game and even when you resigned it was just kind of even. If I may criticize, I think your worst mistake was sending Howdahs against Skirm/Musk. Imagine if those were Mahouts in the middle of his skirm army AND with your nicely timed inspiration.. his whole army would probably get wrecked right there.

Yeah, I think I lost the game when I lost my 2 siege elepahnts for free. I didn''t make mahouts because I didn''t have wood

And I a lot of unspent resources cause he killed agra and 2 raxes so I wanted to find a quick way to dump my 1k food and 1k gold.

he has a very good decision making and unit control... i played him couple of times... sadly he plays random maps

You can always ask him if he wants to pick Great plains or some other decent map. If my memory serves me correctly, I think he is willing to do that.

i feel this is a pretty even match up... both civs being stronger than the other at particular times... the winner is decided by how their strengths are utilized

How can you beat 5 huss semi ff? If you sepoy rush, you slow him down sure but probably wont do much damage besides making him ship 8 bows. Then youre stuck in colonial with ghurka zamb sowar vs vet skirm falconet vet goon and cuir. If you try to age yourself, from my experience at least you just get outmassed early fortress and cant get out of your base.

France does okay vs India, but it's not a counter civ, and it's definitely not a hard counter.

Do a timing vs France. Backed up by way superior eco. Your army still does okay even if its colonial one, Camel upgrades rock. France gonna get overwhelmed by Indian mass. And France can win it yes but the canon micro has to be flawless. 10 musk semi is anyway way better idea vs india and not hus.
