Re: LordRaphael vs _H2O
Congratulations are in order to both players on another successful tournament. Disappointed that Ryan lost in the end, though I am, this just wasn't his series. His opponent played well, however, and I am able to find some consolation in Raphael's victory.
As always, ample appreciation for all contributors and participants, and much hope for a 32-player event before Spring.

Congratulations for both!
It was nice to watch a lot of no-mirror games, a couple of cheeky strats... I expected China, Japan or France to be played, so strange we didn't see those civs.
But I didn't like those salty discussions, long times to pick civs, no ''gg''...I think this game/tournament/community deserves fair play. I really hope Ryan keeps playing AOE3, he looked pretty upset and I want him to play other tournaments.

Coming on skype for the interview he showed class though. That made up for the mutual salt earlier on haha.

Re: LordRaphael vs _H2O
Hey guys, first of all i would like to thank all the players that practised with me. Wicked, Veni, BS_OP, Umeu you guys helped me alot ( sorry if i missed anyone) thanks for that.
Then id like to thank Ryan for being a fair loser, great sportmanship by him! Also If it may have seemed like I was disrespectful then im sorry I didnt intend to be.
Now i did watch the cast and there are a few things id like to say, I never realised how much time I needed to pick a civ.
It feels a lot shorter if you are actually the one who has to pick a civ and thinking really hard about it.
I also didnt do it to piss ryan or the viewers off, its just that i tried to take all possibilities into account and make an educated decsion.
For the future it might be good to set up a time limit in which the civ picking has to take place as I agree that it was really long this series.
About the interview : Thats how you sound if you havent been speaking english for the past 4 years
Also to prevent any discussions, I still think H2o is the best player in the game, I was just able to bring him out of his comfort zone and force a style upon him which he doesnt like, his playstyle is not invulnerable and i proofed that I think. I hope we will see him in the next tourney.
Thats it from me. Ill be taking a longer break now, maybe ill be back for the next tourney but im pretty sure that i wont play in the next invitational.
Bye.

So no more "LordRaphael's Game" hosted for 112 minutes on EP? :(
Re: LordRaphael vs _H2O
If anything, I found Ryan disappointingly graceful. You might say I'm salty about it...Jerom wrote:yoqpasa wrote:Congratulations for both!

Re: LordRaphael vs _H2O
1. it's boring to see H2o 3:0 4:0 5:0 everyday, so congrats to rahpa for having his revenge!
2. even blackstar had just beat h2o once in 5:4, so is rapha's 5:1 an opening to a new dynasty, and raphael will become a new god in aoe3 history? or it's just because of "gl hf", ryan play badly?
3. this is the best answer to "what will happen if there's another h2o in the world?" imo. the aggresive h2o can at least win sometimes.
4. some of h2o's BOs are not perfect indeed, but he won games with them before, as H2O is too strong and unbeatable, which covers their weaknesses. so, when he meet another H2O, these makes him lose. musk rush vs dutch (he beat mitoe's dutch vs it), brit 5v stable start (he beats jsimon's german, not russia), spain naked ff vs otto (he just beat mongo). those victories makes him a little too confident imo, however, which are because of he's h2o, not because of thiese strategies.
