Jerom vs Sir_Musket

Post by sirmusket »

3-0 for Jerom, I got whooped pre hard, and not suprised, I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but I don't think I've played worse aoe in my life, today was just a pretty horrible day, and played otto, which is a civ I never really play, so I don't know why I did that, anyway Jerom is a better player, so good luck in the next round, maybe I shouldnt play for 5hrs straight, before a tourny..

I felt like there was a severe lack of coffee in my body but fortunately I managed to solve that before it was too late.

Did you solve it by opting for alcohol over coffee? You could have gone for both.

Well he has also delivered about a page of excuses. But that's fine since he uploaded the recs which is always a pain in the ass (though I usually bother to rename them).

We must not forget the actually throwing in game two was attempted by me, but as the caffeine started properly entering my body I regained some ability to think which gave me a distinct advantage over you. In combination with mamelukes that won me the game.

Props for trying thugee even though the world knew it was coming. Every tournament setting you get more experience and feel less pressure, you'll get better. Until then just practice

Or don't play tournaments! That's the strategy I've adopted.

A better solution is to play, lose , and than say you weren't trying and weren't playing civs you were good with a would have won if you played your main civs. Its what I generally do.

After I won the fight with my cossack and strel easily, I had open window to age myself, having 45v eco and was ahead in score at one point, so yes I was ahead, and should have aged

Haha thanks n0el, yeah I just felt really meh, even before the games started, it wasn't that much of the tourny pressure, but more so that I played too much aoe leading up to the games, should have just played nothing at all and relaxed, I tend to play better when I'm playing for fun/streaming , but as soon as something competitive happens I tend to make a lot of errors that I never really make, anyway, Jerom is a player who has gone far in every tourny, so gl to him on this one he is definitely someone to look out for, my prediction, Jerom vs Hazza in finals :)

I kinda had a shipment ready and almost enough gold for mams, plus 3 TC vill production. I think aging wouldnt have won you the game, i was still my game even after the throw attempt.

I diagree seeing as I've been in that same position as Russ so many times and won after I aged and had vet coss/strel, you were out of hunt, if I had held mam timing, I'd probs win game, so aging would have helped with that.
