Spring 2017 Betting discussion
Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
I'd like to point out I wasted my bonus 500 points entirely for the 3rd time. That deserves a mention!
Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
At least you received some donations. My poor soul did not receive any at all.
Pay more attention to detail.
Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
I didn't receive any more than you

Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
I listened to Gendarme in Knusch vs Kaiser, Osmane vs Stanley, and lost all my points, with 150 leftover so I can't benefit in donations from having a rich advisor :_(
but he did give me great info on kaiser vs solr
at least I made it to top 10 in my first year
many silly bets at the beginning

Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
I don't know why Stanley and Kaiserklein suddenly decided to win, to be honest.
Pay more attention to detail.

Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
I don't think you can donate to anyone above 0 points.
Man, I was so close to getting all of my points back with interest betting on myself 4-0. Messed up that first Brit mirror, unlucky :(

Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
@Goodspeed can you update the betting sheets? I need my points for the LordRaphael vs kaiserklein match :)
Re: Spring 2017 Betting discussion
Friends,
The moment is nearly here. Sitting champion LordRaphael is going to face former champion BlackStar_OP in the Spring 2017 finals this very Sunday. So far, unfortunately for the king of betting, zoom, who always bets on the upsets, this has been a very predictable event. The average winning result odds have been 5.56 over 30 betting matches, as opposed to last event's 9.56. An extraordinary difference. Is it because the players are more established now and their skill levels widely known? Perhaps because the meta is more refined making the games themselves more predictable? Whatever the reason, our betters had a much easier time predicting the results. Whereas last event featured many upsets, this one did not. Only a couple of series, like Stanley_Winston 3-2 KINGofOsmane and Risi123 2-0 ageofkiller, come to mind.
Anyway, the tournament may have been predictable but the betting event has been as wild as ever. Massive wins all around, and losses no smaller. In fact, inflation has been much higher than in the previous event with the average point total being 2900 vs last event's 2400.
There have been a number of betters who have stood out, and they have fought for first place as if they were fighting for their lives. Currently the man to beat is britishmusketeer, whose time to win a betting event may finally have come. The man deserves it, showing solid results throughout betting history. 7000 points behind him is roiarthurbis, and 5000 points behind that there is Gendarme. These two are recurring names this event as they have both been in first place before.
The top 3 is relatively close together, close enough at least to make britishmusketeer's victory anything but certain. You may say he could copy roiarthurbis' bets which means he can't lose, but then Gendarme could bet the opposite and grab the victory. We also can never forget about the man in 4th, none other than zoom, who has been known to snatch first place out of the blue. How the flying fruit is he suddenly in 4th anyway?
Bets have been opened for the finals. It's best of 9 and scheduled for 15:00 GMT this Sunday. Be sure to tune in, as this has the potential to be a great series. Like in previous events we will not be able to bet on the third place match.
Good luck to all. May the luckiest gambler win!
