The ESOC Spring Tournament 2017 has concluded! What a successful tournament it was! Congratulations to @BlackStar_OP, the new trophy-holder! We find it really important to show as many games to the community as possible. Every match could be a potential stream. So thanks for signing up! Not only are you creating quality content and entertainment by joining, you are ensuring that ESOC will continue to carry out its mission! We can feel satisfied!

I’d like to give all casters a big shout-out! Below is a graph that shows the amount of casted series done by them (including group stage). Without our casters, the tournament wouldn’t be enjoyable to follow. There wouldn’t even be a tournament at all!

Compared with the previous tournament, we now have a lot of new casters! Due to this, we managed to cast 48% of all series played from RO128 to finals (excluded group stage).



Note that you can still apply for caster! Would you like to cast some games, solo or with a co-caster, do not hesitate and send us a sample! We will listen to it and give you our fair opinion, along with tips to improve. Keep in mind that we will select our casters for tournaments based on availability, casting skill and game knowledge. In case we have a positive feeling about these factors, you have a possibility to become a main caster of ESOCTV! From that moment, we can ask you whenever we want to cast a series. You can, however, always decide not to cast, we will never force you to cast a series. Everything is completely voluntary based. Is this something you would like doing? Send me a message including your ESO name and a sample of a casted match. You can either send a file to us or upload it on YouTube. If you have any questions, please contact us!

Finally, the sign-ups for the The WarChiefs Classic tournament are NOW open! You can sign up via MyESOC: my-esoc.php

A thanks to you for all of your work in organizing the streams and games to make the viewers experience the best it can be.

I wished my debut into this tourney was casted, or at least I casting some one's game... My accent sucks just like a donkey's voice. Btw, its better to be nothing and a lazy fool. I lost my debut game, so casting it is worthless(Maybe good to talk about the opponent during the cast)

Good work guys, I'm really pleased with how well run these last few tournaments have been! I'll definitely continue sponsoring as long as the level of care shown by the team remains so high.

Congratulations to @BlackStar_OP , @lordraphael and to all other players :-) Thanks ESOC for the organisation! The tourney helped me tremendously to procrastinate and has been hilarious entertainment. Looking forward to the remaining bronze match @Mitoe and @Kaiserklein !

Congratulations to BlackStar for showing yet again that he is the champion of competitive AoE3. I have been away in this last week and I missed the finals but I'll be sure to rewatch them. Once again, this tournament was a blast to run and I would like to thank everyone involved, from the ESOC team to the casters. I hope to see you all in the TWC tournament.

Yeah tbh it's a bit sad that you guys said the tourney is over and etc, I mean, small finals are supposedly one of the biggest matches of the event, yet there was only approx 150 viewers, which is maybe RO16 amount of viewers or so.... Was a waste imo

Even as someone in the media team, I like to think a tournament is about fun, for the players and for the viewers, not about viewership or money. If the community has fun then it is not a waste at all.

You don't get it... If there were only 150 viewers, instead of a potential of, say, 500, it means that a lot of people missed the series. It's not about being unhappy that ESOCTV doesn't have 500 viewers, it's about 350 people not watching the series, and probably missing some fun, because they simply didn't know it was happening. At least 3 people that I talked to didn't know that the small finals were yet to happen. "But the tourney is over, no?"
