The ESOC Council will conduct an internal survey to determine an answer. Results are expected in four months.

There has been an unexpected delay. We now expect to publish the result no less than twenty-four months from the present date.
Top quality poster.

Re: Olympics
From semis it looks like usain bolt should be untouchable barring disaster. Ran a smooth 9.86
I feel like if he goes all out he could reset the record later.

Van Neikerk with an incredible 43.03 400m. He reset the world record out of lane 8 which never a even a gold medal has been won out of before.

The 400m was a more dominant victory though. Its sad bolt is getting old. As well as cr7 and messi, kobe bryant. Some of the worlds most dominating athletes are retiring soonish. An exceptional era, but athletes will most likely only get better?

You forgot Phelps, one that can surely be added to that list. Exceptional atlethes come and go, just enjoy them while they last.

Yesh, it's sort of sad that everyone still focuses on Bolt when when Wayne Van Neikerk just beat Michael Johnson's once thought untouchable 17 year old record in the 400m. He basically ran 4 straight sub 11 100m. 43.03 is incredibly fast for that race.

Re: Olympics
Also Bolt's time wouldn't have gotten him on the podium in London. 9.81 is still incredibly fast tho

Re: Olympics
well he's 4 years older now ofcourse, and perhaps if his rivals wouldve been as formidable as 4 years ago, he wouldve pushed it up a notch, but ye, 25 or 29 matters obviously. Its too bad blake wasn't in form, he couldve perhaps come closer or beating bolt maybe.
