Do we know general dates/times these games will take place? Or is it just whenever? I don't want to be that guy not show up due to class or training

Group stage is the upcoming 2 weeks, then the round after are a week each. If you're say captain or below you should expect to be out either in the RO128 after the group stage of RO64, so that'd be a general indication for you of what to expect.

You will be able to start scheduling in about a week, you will be notified of the time and place, don't worry.

Media team? I dont know how the code works, I guess H2O does though. Just go play some games, Ill make sure you'll end up on the list if you drop too low.

If you have signed up and your name is in the list, it won't disappear.

Because of the check in thing, there are 40+ players less now, sad.

The checkins make complete sense..... If you can't find the time or don't remember to write your name in a box and click a button over the course of a week, how can the tourney staff expect you to play your actual games?

Is that a universal rule? :hmm:

The only way for a name to disappear is if one cancels their signup themselves or they're manually removed by staff.

I don't think all the people who didn't sign up in the check in thing, are unable to play in the tourney, otherwise why would they sign up in the tournament? You can simply disqualify people who don't show up in the schedules. Not sure if you noticed that some days ago there were less people signed up in the tournament, that means people are still signing up for the tournament and not in the check in as well. That's weird, like you need 30 sec to sign up in both sides

There were too many groups with 2, 3 or even 4 inactive players, so we decided upon a tiny task to prove that you can respond to something over the course of a week. If you cant respond over the course of a week, then the media team believes the chance that you dont schedule properly (and thus ruin the fun of others) is too large to give you a spot.

If you don't get the scale of the not scheduling problem, have a look at last tournament's group stage.
