I don't think you should worry that much since the video on YouTube will easily get over 2k views.
Remember that the YouTube channel spreads out our content way more, every single video again. Way more than Twitch does for us.

From my point of view it could be done better, but still, do you assume 500 people would watch a match for the third place? The finals are where the hype's at, you don't get 500 viewers every weekend.

It's not about how many views ESOC gets. It's just that people enjoy more to be in a twitch chat while watching the series, it brings more hype. Watching alone on youtube is different.

500 was a random estimation, I don't know the exact amount... But with 350 viewers in some RO8 series, I don't see why small finals wouldn't reach 500 or so. At least way more than 150.

It's not true that more people enjoy watching on Twitch with a chat than watching on YouTube. If that would be the case, Twitch' videos/streams would have more views than the YouTube ones. That's simply not the case.

I understand your point. I agree that we could have promoted it more. Though the only thing that we could've done extra is setting up a newspost for it, we already promoted it on Discord, Twitter and Facebook. Those channels alone can easily reach 500 people in no time, so putting up a newspost would only reach a limited amount of extra people.

However, my first point stands. Our YouTube account is growing a lot faster than our Twitch account. Our viewer base on Twitch is pretty much constant every time. Though I'm very happy with the growing amount of views YouTube is generating. I really think it's becoming more important than Twitch for us in the future, since it's like 10 times the amount of views more than we'd have on Twitch, even though watching with a chat brings more hype.

So, sorry for the lack of promotion this time, but I hope you (and other people) are starting to realise that YouTube is our biggest growth potential for us right now.

If you refresh a youtube page, it counts that as a new viewer, btw. Same if you rewatch the video. So, it's tricky to say what's behind those 10x views. Some could be people who mistakenly got there and moved to another vid. That's still counted as a new viewer.

I think the guys who run the channel can see in-depth stats about the videos for example how long a viewer stays watching the video. At least I remember having a conversation with interjection about this once and there's many more stats too. Though what they are for ESOC I don't know.

Just refreshing the page doesn't coun as a view; you must watch the video for a certain ammount of time (30 seconds I've heard) for it to count as a view.

That's totally true, but that applies for the Twitch highlight/past broadcasts videos as well. It works exactly the same, so the point still stands that people prefer watching a video on YouTube than on Twitch (even though you can see the chat on a past video as well!). And because of that YouTube has a bigger growth potential for us.

The average viewer on ESOCTV YouTube watches 20:31 minutes to a video, based on the last 28 days.

i think what kaiser possibly is trying to get at is the fact that it was publicly advertised that the tournament was over a week before his game was played, which almost certainly negatively effected viewership.

Yea, I'll remember that for the next time. Simply adding "yet" would fix it :)

That's always the plan, but Kaiserklein couldn't play at that time unfortunately.
