I don't know though much about what you are planning but something feels wrong though, Well the tr tournament is a good idea, But if it's andes or orinoco or deccan( nerfed ) then more or less the mu becomes important from native point of view which would restrict civilization choices. Even if you place rules like you can't use same civilization twice in row or 3 continuous times. Then a player choosing otto vs brits/ger and wins it due to considerable skill difference and other player has to play ger/brit due to pretty close skill level and next round they face each other then one player is forced to go a weaker civ against brit/ger which are considerably strong in native's. Secondly all native maps would make about half the civ's unplayable namely sioux/aztec/dutch/japan/india/china and I Assume russia and france would be banned. Guess we will find out on sign up day :)

Well sioux, aztec, dutch and india are not exactly the best civs to play in the first place. They just are not that good. The maps are not exactly "nerfed" they are changed. In my opinion for the better. China and japan are also banned. As far as natives go you will be able to see the rules regarding that come sign ups. :)

Awesome announcement this should be a lot of fun for everyone to play in!

treaty is not balanced at all lol we all know that :P. Good luck finding a set of rules where one civ isnt clearly the best.

Well cometk and I have done the best we can on getting specs to balance the maps, and civ restrictions. In my opinion it is decently balanced.

Agreed they are not best civilizations to play, but still it means a practical ban on those civilizations. So, If I get it right, you get a choice from 6 civilizations ( spain, british, germany, otto, dutch, portuguese.) Dutch is mostly out I assume since it cant play natives. Otto would get decimated by all other civilizations, so it would not be wrong to assume that from RO 16 no otto would be played. Even Portuguese would decimated by british germany and spain in natives. So, If I get it right in RO 16 if their is single match most of them would be either spain mirrors or germany vs british or their respective mirrors. ( I know germany/ british got a good chance at fighting spain but as it is tournament I assume people would be playing safe. )
