Yesterday we were treated to a series between the old and the new. Samwise12, who has finally returned to us after playing pro league of legends for a couple of years, took on Boneng. It was a close series, contained plenty of wacky builds and plenty of walls, a typical Boneng series. The rust showed, though, as Samwise was not always aware of how to deal with the things being thrown his way. This shows how much the metagame has evolved over the years, something Ive seen happen first hand. While Sam is a player who invented much of the current metagame, he finds himself with some catching up to do. Boneng knew how to use this to his advantage, and took the 4-3 win. Wp both!
Of course, after such a series and such an exciting tournament, we are all hungry for more. But no worries, thanks to Zutazutas continued effort smackdown isnt going anywhere! What you can expect from now on though, is more coverage from us here at eso-community and even a betting event to go with it! Whats not to like?
Well start with next week. Samwise, previously known for his dodging, has agreed to play again despite his rustiness. I applaud this!
Hes playing against a man known for his irrational insisting that virginia company is a viable card: Myself.
So tune in at the official age of empires stream next saturday at 20:00 GMT for:
[div style="text-align:center'"]Samwise12 vs Goodspeed
Hosted by Zutazuta[/div]
Sam is of course known for his many tournament victories. He started as a team player, laming Brit. He was one of the best there before he switched to 1v1 and dominated. For most of the fan patch era, he was the best player, almost reaching PR 54. H2O was the only one he could lose a series to.
I on the other hand lack any kind of results. Ive been here a while though, played on and off, and while I got very rusty and slow over the years I may just have some things to pull out of my hat. Ive played Sam many times before, in a different meta on a different patch, and there are a lot of builds he doesnt know about. Not easy to predict this one
Its a battle between old men, between the rusty and the even more rusty. Expect sloppy play, lots of excuses and of course, virginia company ')
As mentioned, you can bet imaginary points on the result! All the info about that can be found here. Its a lot of fun! this is how it went last time. Coincidentally that is also the first time we did the betting. Some history for ya.
