If ESOC ups its game on regular competitive events, they might soon sustain themselves, at which point the surplus can be used towards paying website maintenance costs and inflating prize-pools. I think the implementation of ASC Minors (see below) is particularly important

While it has significant benefits to the community, lowering the prize-pool is definitely not necessary. Then again, nor is a criminally insane $1000 prize-pool for an AoE3 tournament, which does the community more harm than good. $600 is still plenty to me, given the circumstances of the game and tournament. Although Goodspeed surely hates the first, I like the following distributions for regular ESOC tournaments:

ASC Majors (128p):

1:st place: $300
2:nd place: $150
3rd place: $75
Betting: $50
Total: $575

ASC Minors (64p; two per year between majors)

1:st place: $200
2:nd place: $100
3rd place: $50
Betting: $50
Total: $400

Post this ASAP on Reddit and official AoE forums. Please host games on ESO with a following or similar title: „NEW TOURNEY — ESOC" or „NEW TOURNEY — eso-community.net". Spread the word as much as humanly possible, and please, make sure to cast this on official AoE Twitch channel!!!
Make a subforum for the event already + stick it to the tournament section on the left-hand side of the page.

If you already have nearly 1000$ in donations, shouldn't you be hosting a 1k prize pool tournament? Where did the rest 400$ go?

Make sure to check the PR this time. Last time he was seeded wrongly because the program couldn't read his name.

There's no sense in hosting a $1000 tournament for such a small community. We'd rather host multiple events (2v2 tournament and another invitational are planned) rather than one big event.

I see your Ottoman Theory was rigorous enough to be successfully published and bring you out of exile to the media team.

At least we lasted 14 posts without random unfunded complaints. A new highscore I would say.
