The RO64 has officially started this week and naturally we will bring you lots of content this weekend. Starting off on Friday, the one and only SoldieR will face off against the infamous AdrianCarrot's practice partner, loloekie10. Saturday and Sunday will feature the likes of Kaiserklein vs Tibia and the grudge match Jerom_ vs KINGofOsmane. For the full schedule, check out THIS POST. If you are new to the competitive scene and you're wondering who the favorites to win this tournament are, I recommend you check out Jerom's post here.
We would like to emphasize to all tournament participants that the use of the building rotator mod, even though included in the EP, is forbidden in tournament games. To enforce this rule, all use of the rotator mod will warrant a map loss.
Betting Event
Didn't manage to sign up for the tournament in time? Don't worry, you can still participate in GoodSpeed's betting event. The winner (aka zoom) will receive a prize of $50 and seasonal fame. The standings can be found here. Currently, lemmings121 is leading with 5036 points, followed closely by zoom with 3827. Surprisingly, zoom does not have twice the amount of points of the #2 spot. There's still hope!

Second Chance Tournament
The group stage has not been as smooth for many players and hasn't offered the competitive experience we wanted it to offer, mostly due to many unplayed games. For a large bulk of our community, maybe the driving force behind our community, winning or making a good run in the tournaments is not a realistic goal. For many players it boils down to advancing in the group stage, often by admin decisions, and then either winning or losing the RO128, after which the overwhelming majority loses in the RO64. That means the average player plays one truly competitive and winnable game that matters. Because of large amount of admin decisions and unplayed games, we have decided to host a Second Chance Tournament (inspired by the LCM movement) for the players who didn't manage to play out their games. This tournament will not feature any prize money (apart from eternal fame). Instead this tournament is meant for players who like to play in a tournament but didn't manage to play all of their opponents. Therefore we expect a fun, friendly, and exciting tournament with lots of close matches!
This tournament will start as soon as the RO16 starts.
Sign up requirements:
- You must have played in ESOC Autumn 2016.
- You must have been knocked out in either the group stage, the RO128, or the RO64
- You may not participate if you received any admin losses in the group stages or in the RO128.
If you would like to participate if you don't meet all of these criteria, please PM me with your explanation.
