That was a joke..
The main income stream is from stream donations.

No, zoi is always talking out of his ass. Our current "income" comes from donations and money made from ads on youtube. We invest all the money into tournaments and the forum, however. The staff consists of volunteers.

Yea, I figured youtube income played a role...

I am just curious (since I am partner in a video advertising network) what your CPM and fill rates on Youtube?

Not sure, Jim handles the youtube for the most part so you should ask him.

I can give you some interesting stats of the period during the Autumn tournament. In this period (September-November) I made sure there was (almost) daily content.

- During this period we had about 1k views per day.
- About 20k minutes watch-time per day. (Which is about 14 days)
- According to Google analytics we earned about €1,50 per day.

These numbers are not exact, but they are my interpretation of an average amount.

So I've just received a threat from @n0el . For the sake of transparency, I need to share it with you.
I'm convinced it's a threat because it looks like it's been hastily written. If it was a warning, a conciliation meeting would have been involved, which is not the case here given @n0el 's speed of response.
@n0el Intimidation doesn't work on me.

@n0el As a member of the Business Team...mind your business. Please let me remind you what's your job: "manage the ESOC finances, set the growth strategy and work to keep the teams focused on the strategy set forward."

Feel free to rephrase your post in English which doesn't require me to devote 30 seconds into comprehending and I might consider reading your beautiful great work of both writing and art.

With the utmost respect & regards,

Bramboozle.
As Ryan "Mad Mankl the Mad" Mancl has outlawed moderators, who will be making the moderator decisions "moving forward"?

Banning is bad. Biased moderating is bad. Transparency is good. All three are important issues.

Last, I am thankful towards ESOC staff, and understand that its job can be hard.

I am terrible at communicating. My bad!

The ESOC Community Team will be making moderating decisions.

Part of this rebranding is to bring forth those issues you mentioned in our now active moderation policy: unbiased actions, communication before banning, and an increased level of transparency
edeholland wrote:Because of the points you mention Zoom, we now have the community team (point 1). We want to take a positive approach and not be only banning policemen (point 2). We are starting with a new moderation policy where we will all agree on and we will have better supervision (point 3 & 4).
Tank you.

First, from what I understand, "Business Team" should be read "Administrators". Second, it looks like a board warning – formal (recorded) or informal. I would have worded myself more carefully, but depending on its basis, it's more or less reasonable.

Now, if you have a problem with a moderator decision, please send a pm to another administrator. Please stop trying to stir the pot all the time, and attempt to reflect your criticism by being constructive.

Do you mean, for instance, "deceiving" or "influencing"?

I know that n0eL is dyslexic, but the whole crew?
It's clearly written "Business Team". No time for interpretation. Plus the mentioned tasks don't really match the Admin role

Whom to ask? I see only Ernesto Guevaras here.

I'm constructive. It's just that to be consensual and neutral, you need to also criticize the one who might be right.

Being asked to curb obnoxious and/or incendiary behavior toward other users is not a threat. Let's not be dramatic.

Not sure why are you talking about me as if you know me.

Not sure how you know me, unless it's from 3rd party sources, which I'm sure are very reliable. One-sided information is always reliable.
