Can we set up an alert if there's something written and you try to close the tab?

On google chrome, press control shift t and the tab will return with all the text you have actually written down. If you accidentally go to some other place on esoc or another site, simply pressing the back button will return you to your tab with the written text still present.

firefox uses shift+ctrl+t not shift+ctrl+tab

It works. And Firefox is a great browser. And everyone should type their long posts in a google doc anyways.

The point is only when you already have something written you will get an alert.

Anyway, I will make sure the dev team will see this suggestion, but since there seem to be some solutions by re-opening closed tabs, I don't think it will have a high priority. The dev to-do-list is already quite large as far as I know.
