These threads appear in the side bar with the most recently active threads. There is also a thread named "Playtest/Review of mod maps for use in FP" in my sidebar which I can't access.
It started happening recently

Sorry about this, the recent threads wasn't filtering out posts from sections you don't have access to. It does now.
