ESO-C mobile app
It would be nice to have a mobile app of this website to read forums, create new ones, messages, etc. It's very hard now to use the website on a smartphone using browser.
I hope someone gonna create such an app for a smartphone, especially for iPhone/iPad

Re: ESO-C mobile app
I think the mobile version of the site works quite well. It seems to simply minimize the banner and menu options into a sliding menu tab when the browser is under ~700px;. What exactly do you think should be improved?

Mobile version of the site does not have "active threads", which is a really nice feature and it is the first thing that I check when I open the website. Probably some links like "eso server status" would be nice to see there too. Last but not least, Twitch Streams.

Twitch streams is the only thing I'd like to see added.
As for the active threads button, there's none. But on both platforms (mobile and desktop) you can choose between "your posts" and "unread posts", which is actually the same as active threads.

But "unread posts" does not show active posts that I read, right? Usually I like to read active posts that get updated with new replies
Re: ESO-C mobile app
Unread posts shows every thread that has one or more posts that you didnt read yet, ordered chronologically (the one that has been post in the most recently on top).

Re: ESO-C mobile app
An app isn't going to happen (the dev time that would require is not worth it), but we can improve the mobile site.
Adding active threads, recent threads, and twitch stream functionality on mobile is doable. Happy to take other suggestions for mobile. I still don't know what is causing the issues with notifications.

Re: ESO-C mobile app
Related to this, I tried to access the forums on the mobile version and the link seems broken.

What link is broken?
Re: ESO-C mobile app
If I write " www.eso-community.net " I can't go to this site.
It only works via this link somehow: http://eso-community.net/

The only issues I've had with the mobile site in the notifications issue. I assume that's still being worked on?

The cause isn't exactly clear, and mobile is much harder to debug. I'll continue to look into it.

Have you looked at like, the area thats linked or sth. I dont know how this work, but I swear I once clicked on it and got redirected on mobile. That's made me wonder if the spot to click on is super specific or something. Worth a check I guess.

Re: ESO-C mobile app
Turned out the notifications issue was only with unread posts, and occurred on desktop as well, but only from inside the actual notifications page (not in the dropdown).
Are there any other major issues that need addressed on mobile?

If the post is short, the dropdown menu wont extend far enough to be able to press the quote function. Its only a problem if you have mod powers I think, and only on mobile I think. Still annoys me though.

Yeah that annoys me as well. Thanks for the reminder.

I am very happy with the mobile site. What I would really want is an app that lets me know when me friends go online but I do not know if this is possible with the server change. . .

Re: ESO-C mobile app
on iPhone the "bell sign" for notifications does not work. When I click on it, it opens private messages. I think this is because the two things are located too close to each other.
Edit: seems like it has been fixed and now it's working well

This isn't really a mobile app but a website where you can upload recorded games and talk about strategy. nevermind, thats esoc

Re: ESO-C mobile app
I think it's unnecessary, the mobile version of the site seems very neat and tidy for me, it's easy to use and browse.
Re: ESO-C mobile app
It would actually be really nice if I got alerts on my phone whenever I have a notification, so when I'm playing Pokemon go i can get alerts like "xX_swift_killa_Xx liked your post" or something to that effect.
