We had access to the Channel. Based on the level of community involvement from Microsoft we decided not to pursue the channel any further. This was when prezsteve left and the new team started. (At any moment keys could get reset and then we would not have fast resolution).

He probably would, issue is that he doesn't manage aoe3 community stuff anymore, it's some Plus2Joe guy.

It didnt though, we got quite a large number of viewers for the last tournament because we made people aware of it.

It's hard to say whether we actually got more viewers for the Spring Tournament last year because we were using the official channel, or if it was because it was the first big tournament in a long time with a lot of big names. Might've been a combination fo both.

Was emailing steve last 2 days or so. Joe said to send him a list of names of people that want to use the stream. I told him zuta and myself for now. Not sure if he is open to allowing any of us esoc people to use it or not. Starting off small with him to get on a good first impression. Waiting on an email back from him now, it's 5am here so hopefully hear from him in next 8 hours or so. Hopefully he still checks his email on the weekends.

Maybe have some ESOC moderators/admins/people cast a bootleg smackdown? (Jerom, wicked Cossack, etc)

That's kind of it unless there's an event, which one hasn't been announced yet. I'm not sure ESOC wants to use the channel for individuals streaming but if they did I can't help but feel aiz would make a nice choice.
