I'm wanting to create a challenge for the community.

Post by illusioNtEk »

Hello to all mods and admins I would like your guidance on this challenge.

I'm wanting to create a challenge for the whole community with a cash prize of $100

Rules would be 1v1 NO RUSH 55 min Orinoco. User MUST USE INDIA Civilization ONLY... and Ill use either PORTS,SPAIN, or BRITS.

Any one can signup and fight me 1v1, I plan to stream the games live and post the recording on my youtube channel... while im at it ill defiantly be advertising ESOC on any video description on youtube and on twitch.

Do you guys think it will be ok for me to simply create a thread? if so which forum would be best? Any chance of maybe having my own subforum as I plan many more challenges in the future and right after this one. Or maybe create a subforum for treaty or "user challenge forum"

Any input or advice is appreciated

Community challenges are always a good initiative. Though I don't like the fact that they can only fight you with one civ, on one map and only in NR55. Is there an explanation for it? I also think that a first person gameplay that lasts ~1/1,5h won't be very exiting to watch. Why not host an open challenge? "Anyone who can reach ... in ... time wins ..."
This idea needs more thoughts.

As for the cash prize, how can someone exactly win it? (You said that you will host more challenges)

Like mc Jim said, I like the idea but the challenge itself is kind of lame. Maybe start with something else?

I'm not trying to boost my ego...

I know just as everyone knows India is such a weak civ on this map type. That's why its a challenge to see who can pull it off.

This is more of an ego than a challenge, but alright

Make the cash prize $1,000 to make things interesting.

$1,000 isn't that much and I'm sure ESOC will meet you halfway or more.

to export this into "rush " standards : from what ive read this would the same if some rdm lt/ capt would challenge anybody to beat him in the most unfavourable mu on RE patch. Which would be dutch vs japan IMO. While this is an impossible mu for players with equal skill level its quite an easy task for players that are above pr 35 plus. Its kinda free money for any decent player that takes on the task.
breeze wrote: they cant even guess how much f***ing piece of stupid retarded they look they are trying to give lesson to people who are over pr35 and know the best mu. im pretty sure that we need a page that only pr30+ post and then we could have a nice discussins.

Well it's a bit different, as the tr game mode is much more imbalanced than sup. India vs port or Spain or brit isn't anywhere near the most imbalanced mu. Something like French vs soiux is. The thing is French vs soiux is so imbalanced that a random captain could beat the best active player. Also being nr 55 instead of 40 puts a twist on things. Especially on orincio if you're playing vs port you have to be really careful cause he can basically monitor half your base from his side of the map.....
