Japan Mirror Meta

So I have been hearing a lot about the new meta for the Japan Mirror, but I haven't seen any casted games with the playstyles people talk about, and the standard stuff (kami-600w-4v-4v/600c) that I do seems to be working well for me on quicksearch. So my question is, what are the new strategies for this matchup that people have been talking about?

What do you do with the export at the consulate? Do you switch it early for clubs, stay and wait for besterios, or do you get the 3 boats then switch?

Depends, I usually send bows and then switch to japanese consulate.

I do that sometimes on Ozarks and other crap maps in quicksearch.

goodspeed is right anyway. 600w600g600g or 600w600w600g into shogunate age 3, 2 flaming arrow*2
also you can do an aggresive play on small maps: 300w/3boat start, train clubs to siege shrines, but still send 600w/4v etc. with clubs killing shrines you'll have better eco actually, and take map control.

New meta is fb for shrine war and to punish an age up. On REprobably doesnt work because age4 shogunate is bugged and rush distance is generally bigger anyway

I guess this should work on small/narrow maps (pampas sierras etc)
sadly, most maps are wide/big, and 5 clubs can't really hurt a shrine boom

It isnt even about the 5 clubs (you are on port cons anyway) but rather tha you have pivot point in the middle of the map and that you can punish an age up. So you force the opponent in colo and then you have a fb which is an advantage by itself.

You can totally punish it with 600w 600g 600g. It depends in part on colonial age up time tho.
