Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
Nice ! Japan boat seems really good
Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
It is. Also rotation speed of Asian boats is broken.

Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
I think we can fix water by reducing the rotation speed of the Atakebune by 15%.
This will lead to a big increase in water games next tournament.

Fuchuan is the coolest ship in the game. A giant yacht stronger than nearly all ships it can encounter, and after it beats them, it sails ashore and spams banner armies.
Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
Wait, so why does Tekkousen beat Frigate even though the former has every single stat equal or worse?

japanese ships just fire faster

Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
We have tested it today with @pecelot. Japanese ships fire faster but miss much more. As a result, in Brit vs Japs Post Imperial water deck duels:
Frigate vs Tekkousen -> 4:1 (Edit: the one win for Tekkousen was when Frigate missed one shot from broadside, 2 fights were with no broadside)
Galleon vs Atakabune -> 2:0 (Edit: clear wins for Galleons. Boring to watch.)
Caravel vs Fune -> 5:1(Edit: the one where Fune won was the very first one and I guess I just ordered the attack animation earlier)
Apart form that, the duels were close in every case.

Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
Caravel was usually left with very few HP, around 40/50, just one time it survived with over 300. In the first try I messed up with the Broadside Attack and it got eventually sunk by the Fune. Frigate had 200—600 HP left after destroying the Tekkousen, Galleon — 200/300 having got rid of Atakabune. Evidence attached:
The skirmishes we ran for testing were pretty close altogether. The Japanese boats indeed do extremely well for their stats and cost — the British navy had just a tiny edge despite having more relevant cards. Bear in mind as well that the +2 range advantage of the Europeans wasn't taken into account. My initial statement then might not have been entirely incorrect then, though as I mentioned, Japs lose only in late game, once all necessary home-city shipments are sent.
Thanks, @Imperial Noob, for the tesht. That was quite a spectacle!

Re: Statistics for Asian & Euro Ships
Question: Often I see in age 3 water decks or anti-water decks a fregate and not 3 caravels. I did some math and 3 caravels is worth a little under 200 gold more, 300 HP more, 135 attack more. The only thing the Fregate has going for it is 25% more range resist. That doest not make of for the stats.
Since I see mostly fregates in peoples decks, and not 3 caravels, I 'm wondering if I missed something?

One hand is bigger than 5 fingers.
In aoe3 20 hp 10 damage unit beats 2 10 hp 5 damage units by 5 hp left. However ships are special im this case since you can heal them,.so good ships are even better. Vs land frigates are even better because of range and durabilty. But 3 caravels is not that bad and it is send in some games.
