10 min treaty stratergy

Post by alakebro »

Hello All,

I have been playing with my friends a 2v4 with myself and a mate being the two, I have been playing as the french, but feel that I am not getting a strong enough army early, though we still beat them, my friend plays as the japanese. So to we decided to do a 10 min treaty to make the game more even, so they can build up their economy and army so that my cav raids don't completely cripple them.

So my question is that should I change civ, if so would a ff be best or a strong colonial army; or a water boom?

Thanks, AB

(P.S. they play as iroquois, india, ottomans, and germans)
(P.P.S. we mainly play on maps with good fishing as well)

Get to Age IV and spam crossbows then do the HC that turns them into skirmishes then upgrade.

Sort of like NR20 but age IV.

Just revolt with Otto/Spain, ideally when being slinged by your teammate.

I'm not sure about this

Pick a civ with some gimmicky way of getting a bunch of strong units fast. Some have already been mentioned (French skirm card, Otto and Spain FR). Others include hard booming as India and then sending the card that turns all your villagers into sepoys, and the Russian card that turns your strelets into musketeers.

Old Han Reforms are expensive though (1000 food iirc). That strat works in TR 20 since you have time to stockpile resources and pump out units, but would you be able to get out the mass needed to hold against the strats I mentioned in time?

If you can get to Industrial in around 7-8 minutes I think it would be possible. It's certainly possible with France so it might be possible with China. Certainly an option to explore for age V units early. Another avenue I was thinking about could possibly be Unction with Spain - although a revolt may be more effective.

brit vc semi-ff into musk huss mass is quite good. Strong start army and wicked strong follow up (6 upgrade cards and 60 vills is pretty good). Same goes with super greedy dutch/japan ff or fi.

It's actually pretty legit, with 10-minute treaty it's even better as you can go greedier with perhaps bombards, double huss shipments, 2 factories, of course, or even cav combat.

I'd rather disagree. I'm not certain, but overall it seems unlikely :!:
